True Christian Basics - Chapter 1.
The hardest part of figuring out religion and getting to understand just where the truth lies, is getting started.
There are thousands, maybe tens or even hundreds of thousands of variations around the world. Each having followers that believe that they have the truth.
The problem is that there is only one truth and everything else is a lie. That means if there are one thousand religions in the world then nine hundred and ninety-nine of them must be practicing a lie.
So, how do you make sure that you find the one that teaches the truth and nothing but the truth?
Let’s get started.
I am assuming that if you got past our home page then you at least believe in a Creator God.
I will also assume that you must favour Christianity otherwise you wouldn’t now be looking at this page.
So, from those two starting points as a foundation, let me offer you the information that will help you get started on your journey towards Bible Truth.
When you buy or hire a piece of equipment, it comes with a user guide handbook. This booklet tells you everything that the designer thinks you need to know to operate it efficiently and safely.
So, my third assumption is that you believe that the Creator God did actually make you and that you didn’t just come in to existence after your billion-year-old ancestors walked out of a swamp!
If you do actually believe that you are the product of very intricate design and beauty, then you must also reason that you wouldn’t be left here on earth in total ignorance. Your creator would have provided some instructions for you, just so you know how to operate yourself to peak performance and longevity. (Of course, we know that most people, especially men, don’t read the user guide before operating something new!) Mankind has also taken the same decision and made up their own minds how God's special creation should function.
So, that leads to the fourth assumption. That the Bible is most likely our actual handbook and user operating guide. If we can start with those four boxes being ticked as true then we have a starting point that can be a great foundation for you finding out information that has been kept a secret from most of mankind for thousands of years. I’ll reveal more about the reason for the secret part in later chapters.
