True Christian Basics - Chapter 2.
We are now on the second part of our journey to understanding TRUTH and what God wants us to know. If we follow Jesus Christ as he mirrored God the Father, we will be able to learn what most of the entire world has been unable to understand throughout history.
As I promised in Chapter 1, I can now reveal the first secret that only True Christians can understand. Take a look at what Isaiah wrote:
Isaiah 28:13-15
But the word of the Lord was to them,
“Precept upon precept, precept upon precept,
Line upon line, line upon line,
Here a little, there a little,”
That they might go and fall backward, and be broken
And snared and caught.
Therefore hear the word of the Lord, you scornful men,
Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem,
Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
And with Sheol we are in agreement.
When the overflowing scourge passes through,
It will not come to us,
For we have made lies our refuge,
And under falsehood we have hidden ourselves.”
Just what do these verses mean?
God wanted only those He was calling, ones that were at least trying to be righteous, to understand. So, He chopped up the message in smaller pieces and spread it all out throughout the books of the Bible.
Those that made the effort to understand for themselves and had their minds open were able to put the jigsaw pieces together to make a beautiful picture. To those that didn’t, it was just a mixed-up muddle. Instead of seeing the entire picture they were only able to see those smaller pieces and then decided for themselves just what the bigger picture should look like.
God looks on our hearts. He is looking for a willingness to fully embrace what we discover. If we really repent and change, then He allows us to understand and grow in grace and knowledge. Everyone else is left to wallow in their own ignorance.
Matthew 7:6
“Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.
If you are understanding, and in agreement, with all that has been explained so far, then it is very likely that your mind is open. Open enough that you will now be able to discover a whole new Word of God and the secrets held within for the TRUE followers of Jesus Christ.
