What God requires of me - Chapter 4
In the last chapter, we found out that God does actually require us all to keep a Saturday Sabbath and that it WASN'T changed to Sunday.
Likewise, we will now find out that God ALSO expects us to keep His Holy Days and NOT some man made make up and pretend days!
God told us that there are three Holy festival seasons, and within these periods are seven Holy Days.
Holy days are annual Sabbaths and kept exactly like the weekly one. No work from sunset to sunset!
On these Holy Days, God also expects us to give a freewill offering. We will cover the money side in a later chapter.
For now, let's start with the correct days to keep each year.
The first season each year are the Days of Unleavened Bread. There is a first day and a last day, separated by seven days. The first day is a Sabbath and the last day is a Sabbath.
For 2026, the First Day of Unleavened Bread is kept from sunset on 1 April until sunset on 2 April.
The Last Day of Unleavened Bread is kept from sunset on 7 April until sunset on 8 April.
All leaven must be removed from our houses, vehicles any other area that we have control over. We must also eat no leaven during this week. More details on all these days will be in a later chapter. For now I am just covering the "bare bones" to get you started.
The second season is Pentecost. This is always a Sunday.
For 2026, Pentecost is kept from sunset on 23 May until sunset on 24 May.
The last season, in the autumn, contains the remaining four Holy Days.
First we have The Feast of Trumpets.
For 2025, The Feast of Trumpets is kept from sunset on 22 September until sunset 23 September.
Next we have the Day Atonement.
For 2025, the Day of Atonement is kept from sunset on 1 October until sunset 2 October.
The Feast of Tabernacles lasts a week. The first day is a Holy Day. The Feast then ends with the Last Great Day which is the final Holy Day of the year. The intervening days are not Holy Days.
For 2025, the Feast of Tabernacles is kept from sunset on 6 October until sunset 13 October. From sunset on 6 October until sunset 7 October is the Holy Day.
The Last Great Day in 2025 is kept from sunset on 13 October until sunset 14 October.
THESE ARE GOD'S HOLY DAYS!
All others are made up days that God tells us not to observe. ALL have pagan origins and God has always been very clear that we must worship Him, HIS way and not to replicate other religions that have pagan roots.
Now that you know the correct days to keep Holy, we can cover just HOW to keep them in a later chapter.
